The Kargil Vijay – Yodha Namana event was held at our college on 27th July 2026 to commemorate the 27th anniversary of India’s victory in the Kargil War. A heartfelt tribute was paid to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.

Sri Shridhara Shettigar V., Lecturer in the Department of Commerce, addressed the gathering and spoke on the historical background of the Kargil War, the intense military conflict of 1999, and its enduring significance. He explained how the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Vijay to recapture strategic peaks in the Kargil sector of Jammu & Kashmir that had been infiltrated by enemy forces. He highlighted the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of the Indian soldiers and emphasized the importance of remembering their valour to inspire patriotism, national unity, and a sense of responsibility among the younger generation.

Sri Devicharan Rai Malarabeedu, Principal of our college, and Sri Shreevathsa N., Academic Coordinator of our college, were also present on the dais. Heads of various departments, teaching and non-teaching staff members, and students participated in the event and paid their respectful tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War.
